I've been putting in a lot of hands this month, which is a good thing, and my results the last couple of days have started to turn around. I started posting on and reading a new forum as well in an effort to get more/better/different input on my play. I love the internet, there is SO much information out there if you know where to find it, and there are so many people willing to help others learn.
I'm actually anxious for this month to be over, I'm looking forward to a few things in the poker realm next month. First, I'll get my rakeback for the hands I've put in this month, which should get me back to around the 50 buyin threshhold where I'm more comfortable. Then, I can start working on clearing my year end bonus from FullTilt. I can get $375 if I put in the hands and earn it all. Once I get that happening, assuming I can continue to learn and improve......hopefully I can get back on track.
I really have to stay away from tournaments at this point. The varience is too high, and the time cost of playing a tourney where I'm stuck in it for 2+ hours then bust out with little or no profit really starts to add up, when you consider that I earn ~4/hr just in rakeback alone.
I'm well on my way to Iron status this month which is good. FullTilt's bonus point offer and the Ironman medals help too. I think I might make a purchase from the FTP store next month - treat myself to an Ipod or something. It's been a long 5 months of play, but I'm happy with where I've gotten myself to and where I'm (hopefully) heading.
