I can't believe how this month is turning out, I'm seriously questioning everything about the game right now. I can't catch a break.
I played the $10 rebuy tonight to try and change things up. In the first hour, I got dealt pocket queens twice. BOTH times, someone else at the table had Aces...sigh.
I get through the first hour running ok, and start building a stack. I had about 6k in chips when the average was 10k, and the huge chipleader at our table raises my big blind (immediately after he'd gone all in over a raise and a call in the previous hand with the monster Jack/Ten offsuit) I have Ace/Queen, and go all in over top of his raise, he insta-calls. I feel good when I see he flips over Ace/Ten and I have him dominated. Four seconds later, he has a four card board flush and I'm out of the tournament. Beautiful.
Then I get in to some omaha. Short story long, I play 450 hands of break even poker, not getting in any big pots. Then I get involved in a monster. I'm in the big blind, so I see a free flop with Ace/Ten/Eight/Three...the flop is Ten/Eight/Three, and gives me a flush draw to the ace as well as the three pairs. I bet and raise the flop and get about 40% of my stack in there. The turn is an ace, so now I have four pairs, and the nut flush draw. Get it all in there....the guy shows a lower flush draw OH -- and he also has the only other two 3's in the deck for bottom set. It holds up, of course, and I'm down $80 more. Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
I don't even know what to think or do right now with this poker stuff. I have a decent amount coming for January in rakeback and fulltilt's bonus money for the end of the year....I don't know whether to just shut it down for the rest of the month and start January fresh, OR if I should keep at it and hope that it turns around.
