Well, the move up to $100 didn't quite go as planned. I don't know why but every time I move up, it's like fulltilt realizes I'm out of my comfort zone and crushes me for a couple buyins until I give in and drop back down.
This week when I moved up, I dropped about 5 buyins, the last blow coming when my AJ lost an all in on a flop of AJ4 to a guy who obviously had aces. Can't complain about the other player at all, but really, how often in heads up play are you going to flop top 2 pair and be up against top set...just bad luck.
So, I did what I've always done, dropped back to a level where I'm more comfortable. For whatever reason, I seem to just kill 50nl, then run like garbage when I move up to 100. For now, I'm chalking it up to bankroll concerns. I am a lot more willing to make a tough call and go with a read when it's at 50nl where I'm properly bankrolled. Here's one I made from yesterday, which was a totally read based call. I don't think I make this same call at 100nl if it's for double the amount of money:
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Hero (SB) ($72.35)
Button ($39.10)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 9d, Ad
Button raises to $1.75, Hero calls $1.25
Flop: ($3.50) 4s, 5s, Ah (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2.85, Hero calls $2.85
Turn: ($9.20) Jc (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $7, Hero calls $7
River: ($23.20) 7s (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $27.50 (All-In), Hero calls $27.50
Total pot: $78.20 | Rake: $0.50
Results in white below:
Button had 6c, 7c (one pair, sevens).
Hero had 9d, Ad (one pair, Aces).
Outcome: Hero won $77.70
Like I say, I don't think I make that call on the river if it's at 100nl. I need to get myself past that mental hurdle, and the only way I think I'll do that is by grinding more at 50 and getting a better bankroll cushion for moving up to 100.
I'm closing in on my 30,000th hand at 50nl, here's my graph to date...I'm just going to focus on grinding this for a while and improving on my winrate hopefully.
edit - graph didn't work, i'll have to fix that
